Become an
Inner Nature Writing™ Facilitator
Guide others through a structured, contemplative process that uses nature as a mirror for inner wisdom and creative expression.
Course begins June 2026
Inner Nature Writing™ is a structured facilitation method that helps people access insight through mindful awareness, guided imagery, and writing. Participants are led through a seven-step process that moves from regulation to inner landscape to written expression and witnessing.
This is not creative writing or free journaling. It's a guided method facilitators can use to help their students explore their inner worlds in a deep, imaginal, wise, and compassionate way.
In sessions, participants are supported in:
Grounding and regulating the nervous system
Awakening their imaginal inner landscape
Attuning to nature as symbol and teacher, representing some part of their own inner nature
Anchoring what they discover in the physical body
Writing, through thoughtfully crafted prompts, to clarify and express insights
Sharing (optional) in a non-interpretive space
Leaving with a grounded takeaway they can apply in daily life
In this method, nature is not something participants describe or look out at. They find it within, using nature-based imagery to access meaning.
For facilitators, Inner Nature Writing™ provides a clear structure you can rely on to lead nature-based inner journeys–while maintaining creative control to make each journey meaningful to you and your clients.

The program, which begins June 2026, incorporates both live, online sessions and on-demand learning. Wherever you're based, it's possible for you to join us. Here’s how it will flow:
Over the course of 3 months, there will be 3 live Zoom calls–up to 2 hours each. Your attendance is required at 1, and you must also watch the recordings of any you cannot attend.
All course content will be available by June 7th. You can begin going through the work at that time.
The bulk of your learning and practice will come from going through the online course material on your own. You can bring any questions that arise to our live sessions together, or email them to me at any time during the course duration.
You'll have homework to complete within 3 months of our final live call. Certification will be issued upon review if your work is thoughtfully completed.

FAQs
Do I need experience as a facilitator already?
1
Many participants who join will already guide others in some capacity–as coaches, teachers, or wellness practitioners. But some people join because they're interested in beginning to hold space for others, and this method offers a clear structure for doing that.
Do these sessions have to be led outdoors?
2
Certainly not–but you're welcome to. The nature we work with during this process is internal, in two ways: it awakens the natural world through visualization and also our inner nature... the wise, wild, effortless part of ourselves.
Do I have to attend live sessions?
3
This course is mostly self-paced and on-demand, so you can complete it at your own schedule. It does, however, included 3 live sessions during the course and your attendance is required at one minimum. The others you’ll be required to watch the replay of.
What is the homework required and how long will the course take?
4
The homework required for certification is as follows: 1) Completing a course workbook that mirrors the on-demand lessons, 2) Submitting reflections of your own experience with the 3 Inner Nature Writing™ sessions offered during the course (one must be attended live), and 3) Two self-assessment forms of you leading this work for others–fellow students, friends, family, or clients, in group or 1:1 sessions. The entire course will take about 25-30 hours to complete, homework included.
