Nature Meditation Teacher
Guide others back home to nature – indoors or outdoors, online or in person.
Accredited by the International Mindfulness and Meditation Alliance
Learn to teach nature meditation anywhere. Nature is always – always – around and within us, so you can teach this practice anywhere (no ancient woods are required, though we also love when circumstances allow for that). Through metaphor, breath, seasons, elements, and more, you’ll learn to bring the wisdom of nature into any space – a 1:1 environment, a video call, a city studio, and of course, the great outdoors.
Deepen your own practice first. Develop a relationship with nature that’s authentic and effortlessly embodied – so that you naturally develop the confidence and clarity to guide others.
Learn and grow with our community. Join the course and you’ll receive access to our online community of nature-inspired practitioners and practitioners-in-training. You’ll also get invites to our twice annual Mycelial Circle calls to connect with like-hearted others.
Everything you need to teach. From scripts to learning about core ecological principles and how to apply them to nature meditation, you’ll walk away with everything you need to start sharing this practice with others.
Complete your certification online. Our community is global, and we don’t want you to have to travel to study this. Learn from wherever you are.

Course Teacher
Hi, I’m Gillian, writer, meditation teacher, Certified Depth Hypnotherapist, and founder of the Inner Forest School. My work – and this course – are rooted in a deep understanding that nature’s wisdom is always flowing around and within us… that we’re not separate from it – and through awareness, we can come home to nature at any moment.
With 9+ years of experience working in wellness and 7+ years supporting others on their own journeys of becoming mindful teachers and facilitators, I hold deep care for the responsibility that comes with guiding others inward. This work asks us as facilitators to lead with care, wisdom, presence, and humility – and it asks that we personally commit to a lifelong journey of living in greater care of and alignment with nature.
This course is for anyone who has felt deep peace, belonging, and wisdom when resting in mindful awareness of the natural world – and who wants to develop the skills, practices, and confidence to lead others back home to their innate place in the web of nature.
FAQs
The homework requirement is that you complete a personal practice log of 20 personal nature meditations (not leading others), a course workbook that asks for your reflections related to the course lessons, lead 3 nature meditations for friends, clients, or family (and complete corresponding self-assessment forms), and submission of an audio or video nature meditation that you lead (up to 20 minutes in length). To complete this homework, as well as review all course content, approximately 25 hours of input is required. You have 1 year to submit these requirements – but if you need more time, so long as the course is still being offered, you can submit with a $100 late review fee.
What is the homework required for certification and how long will the course take to complete?
1
Absolutely. Our philosophy is that we’re never, actually, separate from nature. While there is immense benefit of getting out and into more untouched natural landscapes, there are many nature meditations that can be led indoors and/or online. Our hope is that you get outdoors with your offerings when you can but to also share the power of nature reconnection wherever, however you can.
Most of my audience is online, but I love nature! Is it possible for me to teach this work virtually?
2
Is this program accredited?
Yes. This program has been assessed and accredited by the International Mindfulness and Meditation Alliance.
3
I’ve never taught or facilitated something like this before. Can I enroll for this?
4
Absolutely. All teachers and facilitators must start somewhere–and if you’re new to this type of work, we’d love for you to learn with us as your entry point into a meaningful, nature-inspired path of professional work. It’s equally suitable for those that do have experience teaching or facilitating but who want to learn new practices to share with their clients and who want to co-teach alongside the wisdom of nature.
Do you offer refunds?
